John is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager who currently practises as a Consultant, Expert Witness, Adjudicator, Arbitrator and Mediator on a wide range of Contractual and Project Management matters in the construction industry. He provides services in connection with Arbitration, Adjudication, Mediation and Litigation in Scotland and England.
John is currently the named adjudicator in a number of the largest construction and engineering projects in Scotland including the Edinburgh Tram Project and nationwide for NHS Projects in Scotland. He is a practicing Arbitrator and regularly acts as a mediator.
John is the Chairman of the RICS Dispute Resolution Group in Scotland and the immediate Past Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Scottish Branch and a director of the Scottish Arbitration Centre. He is one of Scotland’s most experienced adjudicators having experience in over 250 adjudications representing parties and acting as Adjudicator.
John is also a busy expert witness on quantum and delay analysis matters both nationally and internationally.
John maintains his involvement in current construction projects and is involved in providing commercial and programming advice and services on numerous landmark projects throughout the UK.
